The House of Champagne Veuve Clicquot here unveils a limited edition of its Brut Rosé vintage. This Champagne is presented in the House's pink isothermal box, inspired by SMEG's 1950s refrigerators. It keeps the bottle cool for up to 2 hours. What's more, it contains no plastic, only recyclable materials such as tinplate for the shell and sugarcane waste to make up the interior. This cuvée is based on a blend of Veuve Clicquot Brut Carte Jaune, 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier, to which an equivalent of 12% red wine is added. This bold partnership highlights the creative spirit of Veuve Clicquot and the intensely fruity, harmonious expression of this Champagne Rosé. The latter presents itself with a coppery-toned pink color with luminous reflections and a lively, persistent effervescence. The intensely aromatic nose reveals aromas of red fruit, almond, apricot and savory cookie notes. The palate is powerful and well-balanced, with red fruits such as strawberry and cherry, but also black fruits such as blackberry. The refreshing finish brings a great deal of harmony to this tasty, gourmet ensemble. A peppery smoked duck breast would be an ideal companion for this Veuve Clicqot Rosé, but you could also be tempted by a chanterelle and carrot roasted pike-perch fillet or more simply by a gratin of red fruits, strawberries, cherries, cranberries.
